“Musica Aurensiana”, born in December 2015, was immediately inspired by the passionate flow on stage during the first performance. Since then they have committed to performing the rich musical heritage of the classical and early romantic period for string quartet and horn. Performances of this thrilling repertoire are rarely heard on today ́s musical scene. Now Musica Aurensiana brings to a wider audience a celebratory, expressive and historically informed performance. .
We chose Musica Aurensiana for its resemblance to the golden color of the horn and its reflection in the musical texture of the strings and representing the best of both.
The five members of the group, Franc Polman (violin), Elisabeth IngenHousz (violin and viola), Yoshiko Morita (viola), Cassandra Luckhardt (cello) and Maria Antonia Riezu (natural horn), are all renowned specialists in early music. Individually, they have performed with the best European and international orchestras including the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Bach Collegium Japan, The Academy of Ancient Music, Il Complesso Barocco, Musica Amphion and The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightment. .
